As we age our bodies change. We become less flexible and our strength, posture and balance may be affected. Pilates, with its carefully constructed regime of exercises, is the perfect system to combat, halt and even reverse some of the aspects of ageing that so many people assume are inevitable.
Our chair Pilates classes can be done seated at all times, though options are given to work at time standing by the wall or a chair. The exercises can help to strengthen muscles, ease back problems, improve balance, keep joints supple, help with bone health and prevent recurrence of common aches and pains. We work with triad balls, tennis balls, sit fits and foam rollers to aid and challenge movements.
